Experiencing the Wonder of Halong Bay, Vietnam in Photos

With some 1,600 islands and islets towering high above crystal-clear turquoise water, Halong Bay is largely considered to be the “eighth wonder of the world.” Surprisingly, we didn't know what all the fuss was about until the day we arrived in Hanoi…and every fellow traveler was shocked that the famed destination wasn't on our itinerary. Luckily our flexible plans allowed us to make time for an impromptu visit to Halong Bay. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision that proved to be one of the best we made in Vietnam.

Hon Seo Island - Pristine and charming destination

visavietnam.net.vn - Hon Seo (Vietnamese: Đảo Hòn Sẹo) is a small island located in Phuong Mai Peninsula in Nhon Ly commune, Binh Dinh Province, about 17km from Quy Nhon City. Hon Seo is extremely pristine, deserted and has no sign of human life. It is an ideal destination for those who want to explore the sea and island, see colourful pebbles on the beach, cross large rocks, take a dive, go fishing, and enjoy freshly-caught seafood.

New7wonders of Nature: Halong Bay information

Halong Bay sea forever remain a bright green color, flows quietly, absorbed with time. Halong beautiful four seasons. In the spring, the lush vegetation shoots mike on limestone mountains. In summer, cool and clear, the sun shimmering particles fall down to the sea. Autumn, in the moonlit night, moonlit mountains inclined ball floating like gold leaf to earth.
