The Beauty of Bay Nui Mountain, An Giang Province

Thất Sơn, Also Known As Bảy Núi ("Seven Mountains") Is A Range Of Small Mountains Located In The Tri Tôn And Tịnh Biên Districts In Vietnam's An Giang Province, Very Close To The Cambodian Border.

The common names of the seven mountains in the Thất Sơn range are:Cấm Mountain (Thiên Cẩm Sơn, "heaven's forbidden mountain"): The 710-metre Thiên Cấm Sơn (the Cấm Mountains) is the highest among the mountainous region of Thất Sơn and it is the highest peak in the whole Mekong Delta region. Endowed with such spectacular mountainous terrain, Núi Cấm is known as the "Đà Lạt of the Mekong Delta".

Núi Dài Năm Giếng (Ngũ Hồ Sơn):The mountain is 265 metres high and five wells are tucked at an altitude of about 200 metres, on the slope of the east. Five wells including three odd wells and a double one, in which the mouth of each well has an irregular oval and is not more than two square metres wide. No one knows how deep they are but they know that the wells are full of water even in the dry season. Legend has it that in the future these five wells will have five blossoming lotus flowers together with five beasts to protect the wells. This myth lures a large volume of pilgrims around the country.

Núi Cô Tô (Phụng Hoàng Sơn): 614 m high mountain Co length of 5,800 km, 3,700 m wide. So in a Mountainous region and because so special geological structure, so many places inside the mountain is an underground cave system as large honeycomb, very solid and strong. So Bowl mountain areas have many things to visit.



Núi Dài (Ngọa Long Sơn): Dài Mountain many precious woods such as oil, brake shoe, steering guava, swimming, cinnamon, type the password, flattery ... and also some types of birds and wild animals.



Núi Tượng (Liên Hoa Sơn): On the peak, we took a panoramic view of Tinh Bien District below with immense rice fields studded some houses, buffalos and winding canals. We reflected on the evil of Pot’s murderous regime and the misery of innocent victims of the past somberly and appreciated the beauty and the peace and quiet of now.



Núi Két (Anh Vũ Sơn): There are over 10 interesting sites on the mountain, from the foot to the top and along its slopes, which tourists should not miss such as Fairy Well and Truc Lam, Ngoc Hoang, Phat Thay, Huynh Long and Phat Mau temples. There is a giant rock called Mo Ket, which is located half way up the mountain. Standing from this position, visitors can see mountain which looks like a moving mount because the cloud masses that pass by are always changing.  The average temperature on the mountain area ranges from 18 -24 C even at noon. Nearby is Dai Mountain, like a giant rock garden, and an ancient temple, both worth a visit.

The mountain is commonly busy with tourists and pilgrims during the festival season, from the 4th to the 7th lunar month. About 3,000 people live on the mountain, with an average of 1,000 visitors per day. Tourists can now visit Bà Chúa Xứ temple complex on Sam mountain, Great Buddha Pagoda and the Nui Cam Natural Reserve (Lam Vien Nui Cam), located nearby.
